Who I like and why I like them:
I don't like anyone really.. It kinda happens when you live in a place where no one's a member of the church. in fact, I can't even imagine what it would be like have a fellow mormon in the same class or let alone, the same school, with me. Sooo weird.

Hardest thing I've ever been through:
Probably watching my older siblings leave. It's realllly hard. I love my family so much, and having them move 1000 miles away from you doesn't help anything. Definitely hardest thing.

Favorite season:

Spring. Partially because my birthday, but mainly because of the perfect balance of hot and cold.

Ahh, really hard. I did a project in school once about professors. I mean, ever since I was little I wanted to do something that involves teaching. I think accounting might be a choice as well. Or journalism?

Right before the game

This weekend I went to a BYU football game with my cousins from Tennessee. BYU vs. Ole Miss!! It was great! I got a high-five from the BYU quarterback, Heaps (number 9)! We were also on ESPN. :) The best part was the fireside on Friday night. The football players spoke, and number 28 gave a beautiful musical number! We had so much fun!!

BOOK REVIEW
pros:
+this book had a great storyline, especially with combining love and tragedy.
+kathy colton is very intelligent and despises jason. i think it's cute how it all works in the end!
+jason west is just so amazing! i think it was wonderful how he and kathy go together so perfectly.
+brett colton is an awesome older brother to kathy and she wishes that she could have only known him better. he is perfect at everything he does and everyone knew him. but he happened to die before kathy could ever really know him. this makes the book even more interesting and adds character.

cons:
-i wish it was a never-ending book because i loved it so much! that is the one and only thing that i would like to change. i want kay lynn mangum to keep writing these books that i can't ever seem to put down!

a favorite.

this is one of those books that you can read over and over again without it getting old at all. :)

April Fools' Day!!

Here are some tricks that you may want to play on your family:

-Put yellow food coloring in your milk with cardboard surrounding it so nobody knows what color it is, and they'll think it is rotten!

-Put a rubber band on the part of the spraying sink, and then when somebody turns on the sink they will get sprayed!

-Wrap all your toilets with saran wrap!

-Stick a post-it on the computer's mouse right where the ball of it is. Then everyone that tries to work the computer will not be able to move the mouse! Do not forget to put happy April Fool's Day!

-Pour salt in your friend's hair so that they'll think it is unexpected dandruff!

-Stick a raisin in the toothpaste!

These are all bunches of giggles!

Tangled Up In Tangled!!

My body, forcefully, woke me up at 11:00--Spring Break is fabulous; no alarms. I found everyone outside working on the garden. I ran out there and noticed that nobody was on the trampoline! Yahoo! I did a few flips and front-hand-springs, but then I knew that once I got on, everyone would want to join me. My prediction was very accurate! Haha. I didn't stay out there too long though, because my hair was covered with pollen. I ate, in this case, brunch as fast as I could and soon scurried up the stairs into the shower. Ah, I was so relieved to finally have clean, unpollenated hair! (All the pollen is still in the bathtub... Madeleine may not be too happy about that.) I quickly blow-dried my hair and got dressed, so that we could go to get Tangled! Well, I guess I wasn't fast enough because everyone made their way to the Abells' Stables. I have been counting down the days until Tangled comes out, so I wasn't too glad to find that I had to ride horses opposed to purchasing the most brilliant movie ever! Ugh! But, riding horses was actually lots of fun. Then, we went to the store and, finally, bought TANGLED!! I thought that it would be sold-out, but luckily they had a large supply. As we were driving down our road, we saw Madeleine and Marianne on their bikes, having a grand, old time. Lauren decided to join them too. Sarah and I refused to ride our bikes because we had committed to snuggling on the couch and watch Tangled! Sarah really wanted Marianne, Madeleine, and Lauren to hop off their bikes and lounge with us too. But they wouldn't. We couldn't wait any longer, so we just started the movie without them. To my surprise, Lauren peddled her bike home--what seemed like 100 mph-- and told us that Marianne got in a bike accident. Just what we needed whenever Mom was gone. I had to put Tangled on hold--at the best part, of course. Riding my bike to and from the house, getting everything that Marianne needed, was quite the obstacle course. Mom came home soon and everything was fine after that, though. Well, I think so. Marianne is actually at the hospital at the moment. I haven't heard any news yet; I hope she's okay. As of now, I am watching Tangled, for the second time. :)

We watched this video for a Youth Fireside and I just loved it. I thought it was a really inspiring video. These boys must have been so faithful and courageous to do such a thing as this. Just inviting one person to church one time, can change someone's (or in this case, many peoples') life forever. :)

Last night, we watched the Miss America pageant. Miss Nebraska won!

Harry Potter 5 has been really good so far!!

I have set a goal to finish Personal Progress before the summer. (It may end up being before the year ends, but let's hope before the summer!)

We had a lesson in Young Women today about how Jesus Christ needs to be our best friend. :)

For my Choice & Accountability 10-hour project, Haley and I will be putting on a Modesty Fashion Show!!

This year, our family has (somewhat) committed to NO sugar. It's tough... To tell you the truth, I've already broken it a few times. But I keep trying to do it!! We all intend to go until January 25--Lauren's Birthday. ...we'll see how that goes.

Lately, I've been listening to EFY music every night before I go to sleep and it is just the best thing ever. They say that whatever you do before you go to sleep affects your dreams and thoughts. It's amazing what just listening to a little bit of uplifting music can do.

Fablehaven Milk Recipe

Here is the Fablehaven milk recipe, that my cousin and I made up:

- Three teaspoons of sugar

- 1 cup of Milk

- vanilla

- Cup (It doesn't really matter was size as long as it is about a cup in measuring.)

Instructions:

-Dump the sugar into the cup of milk.

-Put a few drops of vanilla into the cup, as well.

-Lastly, stir the milk well.

Now you have, what I call, Fablehaven milk! If you would like, you may adjust the amount of sugar and vanilla.

My cousin, Maddy, and I had made up this recipe a while back. But since I have been reading the Fablehaven series, I decided that this milk reminds me of the milk is Fablehaven. :)

Track Team so far!

I have attended two track meets so far.. My spot in both of them was the very last event, 1600 m relay! I am the very last leg. Well, at the first track meet, it was sooo cold!! The second one was alright. But when I started to run other teams were finishing! (Everyone from Good Hope that did the relay with me was a beginner.. So don't blame us!) haha So, track has been good so far! We have had challenges, but we all face them! There is just my little update on track. :)

Summer Fun

The summertime is a very fun time of the year! Everyone is glad and relieved that school is over, and that they have finished finals/end of the year tests. There is something that always happens at the end of summer, each kid wishes it would last longer, but there are some kids that wish it was shorter because of boredom. I'm usually the type of kid that wishes both, but this year, I would rather choose for it to be longer! This year was so exciting!! My cousins that live in Idaho and Tennessee drove down here for a mini family reunion. We went swimming at my Grandparents house almost everyday while they were here. Then, we all left (except for the cousins in Tennessee) for Idaho for a REAL family reunion! We only got there for one day whenever The Wendell Walker reunion (the BIG one) was taking place. Then we also went to The Lary Walker reunion (the smaller one). The drive home was four days long, longer than usual!

Every year I love St. Patrick's Day because at school we get to wear all green, and it is a sign that my birthday is coming up soon. But this year something horrible has happened! I am going to be practicing for the IOWA/ITBS on my birthday at school. :( I am not so excited about that.

Not too long ago my parents visited Dallas for their anniversary. While they were gone my sister, Celine, was in charge, and one Sunday for scripture & prayer she talked on good, better, best. It was a talk given by Dallin H. Oaks, and it was wonderful. An example of good, better, best: it is good to say your prayers, it is better to say your prayers with the special words: thee and thou in morning and night, and it is BEST to express only gratitude, use the special words, and say them morning and night. I recommend you to read this talk, and trust me it will change you forever!

Christmas is around the corner...

It is almost Christmas, and everyone is so excited about getting presents! I am, too. But not everyone knows the true meaning of Christmas really is. This event is when we celebrate the birth of Christ. Last week my dad told a story that really touched me, and I want to share it with you. There lived a husband and a wife in Canada, that had enough money to pay for their 11 children that Christmas. The two girls, 9 & 10, in the family had planned on Christmas Day a family ,that couldn't afford nice clothing for their 15 children, would come and have a feast at their house. Nobody knew that the girls were planning this. So on Christmas Day the two girls woke-up early, and got the food ready. Then the struggling family showed-up, and everyone wondered why they were there. But they still went with the flow, and welcomed them. Up stairs where all the youngsters were the girls had planned to have a fashion show. So they all tried on clothes, and the guests left after visiting with permission from the girls to have some of the clothes. That is the best way to celebrate Christmas. None of the people, except the two girls, in the family knew why that family had come that day until one of the girls told the story at around 70 years of age!

Recently I watched a movie called Emma Smith. It was a very interesting movie. I learned about a lot of hardships and good times that Smith went through. I recommend this movie to anyone that is anxious to learn about Emma Smith!!

Joseph B. Wirthlin

This Monday, Joseph B. Wirthlin, passed away at age 91. I remember at conference all of his hilarious stories. My favorite in particular was the one about his daughter going on the wrong date. I remember my cousin emailing me a question asking: How was my General Conference? I answered saying: I liked Joseph B. Wirthlin's talk and his funny stories. I also remember sitting in the chapel watching the projector where Wirthlin was telling stories, and I was whispering to my mom saying that his talk is my favorite! I will surely miss Elder Wirthlin very much, but I know he is in a better place now. :)
